The RWD will be performing leak tests on the district water infrastructure the night of Tuesday September 20th, 2022. The testing will begin 10:00 PM Tuesday night and conclude at or before 4:00 AM Wednesday morning.
All patrons water will be shut off during this time period.
With the completion of our 2021 / 2022 meter pit installations, we are conducting these tests on the common infrastructure of the district to better understand and isolate any possible leaks or weaknesses that should be addressed. This process helps us identify any potential problems ahead of time, plan and allocate resources properly, and ultimately reduce system outages. Beginning Tuesday night at 10:00 PM, we will begin shutting off water at the meter pits / shut off to each patron home. Afterwards we will isolate the different segments of service lines that distribute water throughout the neighborhood for individual testing. We anticipate that all service valves will be re-opened no later than 4:00 AM Wednesday morning. There will be no changes made to any service lines, meters, or other components of the water district during these tests. As such we do not expect any issues to arise.
