The purpose of this note is to give notice to the 15 homeowners that reside on lower Ponderosa Lane. Specifically, we are planning to replace the first 400 feet of the original water main to address a water leak that has been ongoing for a few years. The construction will happen between April 15th – May 15th. We don’t expect the project to last 30 days, but given the potential for spring storms and unexpected issues, it could get drawn out this long.
We will be down to only one lane of open traffic from the intersection of Spruce Lane and Ponderosa Lane down to approximately 417 Ponderosa Lane.
Over time the Board expects to replace the entire length of water main on lower Ponderosa Lane, but will start with the first 400 feet. This construction project will interrupt water service to all 15 houses for several hours when the crossover is initially done. If we have pipe breakage during the excavation, then there will be other temporary outages. We commit to do our best to notify everyone via the Ridgewood Water District website and by direct email when necessary.
