We have located the leak and have resolved the issue.  We found a damaged hydrant which was stuck by a vehicle that is suspected to have run off of the road into the ditch and then into the hydrant.
Our suspicion is that the vehicle which was broken down near the entrance to the neighborhood is the car that struck the hydrant and drove away from the accident scene.  It seems as though the vehicle may have been mechanically damaged to a degree it could not go any further attempting to leave Ridgewood.  At the damaged hydrant, we found tire tracks leading into the ditch and parts of a bumper that match the damage area and paint color of the broken down vehicle.
The Teller County Sheriff’s Department has been contacted and we are working with them on how to proceed.  The great news is that the issue is now resolved just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday and the system is fully recuperated back to a normal operating state.
We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation over the last few days.
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you and your Families.
