We believe we have narrowed down the leak to one of the homes on upper Ponderosa Lane. Ponderosa as a whole is shut down at the main valve as we continue our efforts to locate the exact location of the leak. Water levels at the storage tank have remained relatively stable, but the leak is causing the system pressure pumps to run constantly. Those pressure pumps are not designed to run for more than an hour or so between cycles to cool the pumps or we risk burning them out completely. We will turn the Ponderosa valve back on this evening for 1 hour between 6PM & 7PM and then the valve will have to be shut off overnight.
We will turn the valve back on for Pondarosa again in the morning between 6AM & 7AM. Depending on how quickly we are able to locate the exact location of the leak, we may have to continue an on / off schedule throughout tomorrow (Tuesday 1/18/22), but we will post updates as we have more information.
At this time homes located other areas of the district outside of Ponderosa should have normal service.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through this issue.
